Began in a small gas station next door to our present location around 1930. Opened in our present building in 1946 and have operated non stop since then. We are in the Ill Route 66 Hall of Fame, The National Register of Historic Places and will be receiving a Historical Marker in September of this year because of being part of the Route 66 National Scenic Byway. We have been featured on the Food Network show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" as well as countless Route 66 documentaries. We specialize in Fried Chicken and Home Made comfort foods with almost everything being done from scratch in our kitchen. Our building is virtually unchanged since it was built in 1946 and still has the original 1940's neon sign.
